It’s been a while

Hey everybody,

It’s been a long time since you’ve heard from me, I know. This blog continues to get readers and followers, and I am consistently amazed that I gained a following for this legacy.

Unfortunately, the Sims 3 runs like shit.

I have not been able to get the Sims 3 to run successfully on my computer for more than a year now. Everything is still on my hard drive… but all of the bugs and lag make it a pain to play. I don’t know if I’ll ever pick up this legacy again, simply because the game made it such a massive pain in the ass. I got distracted with other things, other hobbies, and I didn’t even turn on my computer for months at a time.

I bought TS4 when it came out, and lost interest in that too. But the other day, on a whim, I decided to play… and my love for sims was immediately rekindled.

I’m planning on starting a legacy with TS4. If any of you would like to look at it when I get it up and running, I will put a post up here with a link.

I’m sorry about H&D. It was something I enjoyed for a long time, but then, I was no longer able to enjoy it because of bug issues.

I hope all of you are doing well!

I’ve been subscribed to H&D since almost the beginning, and I was so excited to get an email that you’d updated. You should definitely post links if you make a new legacy, ’cause H&D was flippin’ great!

I lost interest in 4 soon after I got it also, but I have been tempted to try it again. I will definitely be happy to read your legacy when it is ready.

Sorry you have had so many issues with 3 though and it is good to hear from you again!

  3. Ahh, I got an email notification of this post a couple of weeks ago and completely forgot to comment, whoops haha!
While I’m sure I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Herping & Derping, I also completely lost interest in my legacy. I still have this sorta dream of doing one last update so my followers kinda have closure, but cannot even motivate myself to do that. So basically, I understand where you’re coming from.
Anyway, I love your sense of humour so, of course, if you did a Sims 4 legacy, I’d love to read it!

Shame to hear about that, the Derpingtons were fabulous. But I do understand, the sims 3 runs like a stick of butter in a marathon. But I look forward to seeing you do a sims 4 legacy! Do post a link, I’d love to see it!

Okay. I JUST found this legacy, read the whole thing for three days (almost straight) and then, well, I got to here. It really sucks that Sims 3 has stopped working and you will probably have to give up on H & D, because I loved every second of it. It would be AWESOME if you can do a TS4 legacy challenge. If you end up doing so, be sure to let me know. πŸ˜€

  6. Well, this was the best thing I have read in a while. You have restored my love for Sims 3. If you ever publish, I will surely read it!

I gotta admit I’m sad, but thank you so much for so many laughs & fun with the Derpingtons. I really enjoyed all the characters and how you really brought their traits & personalities to life. I’ll always remember Herp starting it out, and Dutchman & Cuddles & all the others. I am totally late getting into it, but it’s been such a nice reprieve from real life and “adulting” as they call it. I’ll have to keep an eye on this site, and look out for any future projects πŸ™‚ Anywho, hopefully this comment makes sense ;P I wish you the best!

I’m doing this from my phone right now, so I can’t really log in, but this is Regina here. Thank you so much for your many replies. I’m really glad that you enjoyed the story so much. πŸ™‚ to give you some updates on me and my poor computer…
I just started graduate school, so I am crazy busy, but maybe I can find some Sim time soon? I will give it a good college try.
As I said above, the Derpington family… I totally wiped TS3 from my computer, but I recently reset the entire laptop, and put it back on! I haven’t played much yet, but maybe soon…
I’ve been playing TS4 on and off for the last few years, but haven’t published anything. In all honesty, I got a girlfriend around 3 years ago, and we’ve been doing a lot of fun stuff together (like cosplay), that has drained my bank account and stolen my time lmao.
Anyway… Like I said, I wanted to say thank you for your support and interest. Would there be any interest in seeing the youngest Derpington members recreated in TS4 and played out there? I have a mighty need now. I don’t want to adult either!
You’re freaking awesome for taking the time to read, btw. Thank you. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy knowing somebody actually got enjoyment out of my ridiculous game XD

Aww, you’re welcome!I bet grad school is super tough, but as long as your passionate about your major. I think that was my problem, some of those core classes (Chemistry *cough cough) kinda dragged for me. It’s good you’re taking time to have fun too πŸ™‚ I’d be happy to see any of the Derpingtons in Sims 4, too. Whether they’re blue or not πŸ˜‰ Sims 4 seems pretty cool. The sims seem a little more emotional to me lol. But it seems like it’d be fun to play, there’s so many ways to customize them, too. Maybe I’ll try it if I get a new computer. πŸ™‚

Leave a Reply? Please, the Derpingtons are begging you.
